Which Supermarkets and Grocery Stores Has Better Pay? Find Out Here…

Everyday hundreds of job offers become available, especially at big chains in which they are continuously expanding and looking for more staff to meet the market’s needs.

However, when looking for a job you need much more than just knowing what your tasks will be, and payment becomes one of the most important aspects to decide where you would like to apply.

Unfortunately, most times you won’t have access to this information and searching for this online can lead to contradictory and misleading results.

That is why we have decided to build this, the ultimate guide to know which grocery store and supermarket pays more to their employees and why you should join them.

Please note that this is an estimate and most times the answers of these questions will depend on the exact position you apply for.

Who pays more Walmart or Target?

When it comes to money, the starting hourly pay in Walmart is $11 while an average Walmart employee makes between $12 and $18 per hour (depending on their position).

Target’s hourly rate is a bit higher. The minimum hourly rate for a Target employee is $13 per hour and the company has committed to make it $15 minimum by the end of the year.

Overall, Target is a better place to work for than Walmart. Target’s full- and partial-time employees tend to be happier and more satisfied with their jobs.

They also consider the company cares about them and acknowledges their daily effort. On the other hand, Walmart employees usually don’t feel valued by the company and instead they would prefer to work somewhere else.

Target is clearly the winner in this competition.

Who pays more Walmart or Home Depot?

Payment will depend on which position you are looking for, but let’s assume you are aiming for an in-store job.

The average salary at Home Depot is between $12 and $18 hourly, with sales associates and cashiers making around $12 – $14 every hour and Supervisors earning around $16 – $18.

Walmart on the other hand, pays their in-store employees an average of $13 per hour, with cashiers, sales staff and stockers making around $10 to $15 per hour, while Pharmacy Technicians and Department Managers can make between $15 and $16 hourly.

Basically, for lowest positions you will not see that much of a difference between Walmart and Home Depot, but if you are aiming for a highest rank, we suggest you go with Home Depot. Their hourly rate for specialized staff is a bit higher.

Who pays more Walgreens or CVS?

It depends, but there is not a major difference between Walgreens and CVS. While some of their employees get paid on an hourly bases, there are certain positions that will get paid a salary.
