Step 1: Open your DoorDash app and add in the address.

- You can either share your location by giving access to DoorDash or add in your address manually.
- You can also choose whether you want the Dasher to “Hand it over” or “Leave it at the door” when they deliver your items.

Step 2: You can choose whether you want the order to be delivered or if you want to pick up by clicking the options and icons below. For delivery, the Dasher would come with your order. Step 3: You will see a variety of restaurants and fast food chains to order from. You can filter them out as well by clicking on the icon that says under 30 minutes or by ratings.
Step 4: After you have selected the restaurant you want to order from and clicked on the items you want to eat, you tap on the “view cart” option.
Step 5: The app would take you to the checkout section to show your total amount. You can also add a promo code if you have any. The checkout section has the subtotal, tax, and delivery fee added into the box.
Step 6: After you have confirmed the order, you will be taken to another section to confirm your order.
Step 7: Add in if you want the Dasher to leave the item at the door or hand it over to you.
Step 8: Add in your cell-phone number
Step 9: You can also choose if you want to schedule the order or want it delivered ASAP.
Step 10: Tipping the delivery driver: After that, you can choose a Dasher tip from the list or make a custom one.
Step 11: Lastly, fill in your payment information for the Dasher.
Step 12: Click Place Order and voila!

Once your order has been placed, DoorDash allows you to track your order. There are four icons on the screen under the map that are connected to show the progress of your order:

DoorDash icon: which notifies that the order has been received by DoorDash
Building icon: that informs the order has been sent to the restaurant.
Car icon: the Dasher has picked up the order
Home icon: to show your residence.

How to order DoorDash with cash?

DoorDash is a cashless app. That means that you cannot order or pay for your order through cash. For it to work, you would need to pay online through your debit or credit card. You can also use the Cash app. But you cannot pay for you order after you have received it.

You can, however, tip the Dasher with cash.

When you have placed your order and have the order confirmation page, you can scroll down to see tip the Dasher.
To pay via cash and not through DoorDash, you would not click on any given option and proceed by just tapping on the “Place Order” button.

Step 1: Log into your DoorDash account to see the front page.

Step 1: Open the DoorDash app and select the Orders button on the screen
