How Does Target Curbside Pickup Work?

Target Drive Up is one of the most common curbside grocery pickup services the retail store offers its customers.

Buyers can go to the Target app and place their orders. Target grocery pickup service allows customers to place an order with Target and drive to the store to collect it once it’s prepared.

Go to Target.com and create an account and log in with your credentials and sign in or you can continue as guest.

After you open the Target app or Target website, you can see the target contactless shopping and pickup options. Select the “Drive Up” option for free if you’d like to opt for that.

Additionally, there is a shopping bag icon at the bottom of the screen, letting you start shopping.

Turn your location services on after you’ve selected Target Drive Up. Target will show you store suggestions depending upon your location.

Click ‘Pickup’ and let’s select the grocery tab to start shopping.

When users click on ‘checkout’, they will view a breakdown of all the items in their order and their respective prices.

Users can see the location of the stores at the top of the screen. The location of the store can be changed anytime the user wants. A couple of items are available only at certain store locations.

Search for your nearest target store by by clicking on ‘please select a store’.

Or by searching with your zip code or address.

Once done let’s check the products again, if everything is alright let’s checkout by clicking on ‘Check out’.

As you can see there’s a ‘Currently Unavailable’ notice on top of the products list, we were unable to proceed. So we have selected a deli meat to proceed with Target curbside pickup.

After you’ve chosen the “Drive Up” option and confirmed your location, you can start proceeding with the payment with Target.

Clicking ‘Check out’ will take you to the next step. Review the order and update your payment information by providing credit or debit card information.

Provide a billing address as well.

if you’re paying using paypal, you can do that as well. Once done, click ‘Save and Continue’ to place your order.

Target Curbside Pickup Hours

Users can opt for Target curbside pickup service during the standard operating hours of Target. Target stores generally open at 7 am and close around 10 in the evening.

Some stores open an hour earlier, at 6 am. Target Drive Up is available from 7 am to 10 pm in most stores.

When you place an order with Target, the store assigns you a designated pot for parking and waiting in the parking lot till a store associate brings your order.

Customers receive a notification email when their order is assembled in one place. Generally, it takes Target team members 4 to 5 hours to prepare one order.

In some cases, it might just take them 2 hours.

Target Drive Up allows customers to place an order online and pick it up from a store.

Place your grocery order on the Target app and select Drive Up. Target assigns a shopper who does all your shopping and assembles your items in one place.

When your order is complete, the app will notify you. You can go to the store and collect your order.

A Target team member brings your order to a designated parking spot where you park your car to wait for the order.

How Long Does Target Curbside Pickup Take?

Target curbside pickup is very efficient and convenient on most days. Generally speaking, Target Drive Up orders take around 4 to 5 hours to be prepared.

On the other hand, the preparation can take a bit longer during busier days. In some cases, Target team members get the order ready within 2 hours.

Also, the great thing is that you don’t have to wait in line for your order. Once your order is ready for pickup, Target will send you a notification email.

How Long Does Target In-Store Pickup Take?

Target in-store pickup generally takes 4 hours to be completed. On busier days, it might take longer. Most Target team members complete the orders within 2 hours.

How Long Does Target Online Pickup Take?

Target online pickup is free and convenient. It takes a Target team member around 2 hours to assemble your items in one place after your order is confirmed.

How late is Target Curbside Pickup?

Target curbside pickup keeps your order in a safe place till you come to collect it. However, if you are unable to receive it for some reason, Target will kindly cancel the order and process a refund.

Target curbside pickup hours are the same as regular operational hours, making it 7 am to 10 pm. However, store hours are subject to vary depending on the location.

How to Return Target Curbside Pickup?

You can return an item in your Target curbside pickup that you don’t want. Customers can use Guest Services to return any unwanted item(s).

Make sure you have a receipt of the order on you. When your order is collected, you receive a receipt in the email. The email can be printed or viewed on a mobile device. The receipt can be presented at Guest Services, and you can return the item.
