Who pays better Shipt or Instacart?

Being just a driver is too boring and you want to be come a shopper instead. Selecting the items in the store and paying for them before delivering them is much more fun (and better paid!), but will you make more money with Shipt or Instacart?

Although both apps claim that their average driver can make between $20 and $25 per hour, their shoppers have reported an average income of $15 per hour; so factors such as location or partnered stores can be a better criterion when deciding which app to join.

Who pays better Uber Eats or Doordash?

None of these companies pay a flat hourly rate. Instead, their payment calculation will vary based on factors such as the distance you drove, the time of the day (you will earn more during peak hours!) or how long did it take you. You also get to keep 100% of the tips you receive.

Although the average driver reports a final earning of around $15 per hour, DoorDash gives their drivers more opportunities to increase their incomes through deals and challenges.

Who pays better Doordash or Grubhub?

Usually DoorDash drivers earn more than GrubHub’s. While an average DoorDash driver makes between $13 and $15 per hour, GrubHub’s drivers make around $11- $13.

However, this is likely to change soon. GrubHub has been doing some changes in their payment formula to ensure their drivers earn more money and they can be competitive compared to other platforms.

How are they doing this?  By factoring new aspects in the payment calculation formula. For example, although they removed the base order amount, they also added a mileage amount to include the distance you drive from the moment you accept the order until the moment you pick it up from the restaurant. Who pays better Postmates or Doordash?

Easy answer: There is not a major difference.

Both Dashers and Postmates drivers earn around $15 per hour, which can turn into $20 if you are working during peak times.  You also get to keep 100% of the tips you receive from your clients.

The only factor that can make Postmates drivers earn significantly more than Dashers is their location, since there are some cities in which the base pay that Postmates has set is a bit higher.

So, what is the main difference? Their payment formula.

While DoorDash offers a base pay (based on time and distance), they also give their drivers the opportunity to increase their incomes through Challenges and promotions. Who pays better Uber Eats or Postmates?

Postmates drivers tend to make a bit more money hourly than Uber Eats drivers. This is between $13 to $15 for Postmates versus around $8 to $12 for Uber Eats. But, why is that?

Although both platforms factor pretty much the same variables when calculating their drivers’ payment (driving distance, time, peak hours, etc.), UberEats fees tend to be higher than Postmates, therefore affecting the driver’s final income.

Just for you to have an idea of how much this is, Uber Eats tend to charge from 25% to 35% fee of the total order amount.

Who pays better Doordash or Instacart?

Once more DoorDash seems to be the winner of this battle. An average Dasher will make between $13 and $15 per hour (even $20 if they’re driving during peak times!) thanks to their base pay rate and their Dasher Payment Formula.

This is not that much different from what the average Instacart driver makes ($15 per hour), however the fact that DoorDash offers different in- app opportunities for drivers to increase their income by winning challenges, delivering more orders or driving further, makes it the best option for drivers who are looking to increase their hourly income.

Both apps will also allow you to keep 100% of the tips you make.

Who pays more Waitr or Doordash?

Overall, Doordash drivers tend to make more money than Waitr’s. The average Dasher will make around $13 to $15 per hour, which can easily turn into $20 if you are working during peak hours, win challenges, or deliver larger orders.

In the other hand, although Waitr ensures that their drivers make somewhere between $17 and $20 per hour, the average driver has reported to make between $12 and $14. Furthermore, compared to DoorDash they have less opportunities to increase their income.

Who pays better Deliveroo or Uber Eats?

Deliveroo pay rates tend to be higher than Uber Eats, so while the average Uber Eats driver makes $8 to $12 per hour, a Deliveroo driver can make somewhere between $10 to $14.

This is mainly due to Deliveroo having a base pay rate of around $10 (please note that this depends on your location), while Uber Eats factors distance and time which makes the final income variable and less predictable.

Furthermore, Uber Eats fees tend to be higher and take about 25% to 30% of commission which can significantly affect your earnings.

However, we strongly suggest you work for both apps simultaneously as this is the best way to increase your incomes opportunities. Since you will be an independent contractor for both, there is no limitation regarding how many apps you can join or how much you need to work for any of them.

Which pays better Doordash or Skip the Dishes?

There is not a straight answer for this. It depends. Although drivers for Skip tend to make around 10% more money per delivery (which can be around $16 per hour), they have many more drivers than DoorDash which means that busier hours, does not necessarily mean you will have more work. The opposite happens with DoorDash, working during peak hours can significantly increase your income making you earn up to $20 per hour.

Bottom line? If you want to go down the multi app road, we suggest you prioritize Skip the Dishes orders, except when it’s peak times or if you are accepting any of Doordash’s challenges.

Who pays better Uber or Lyft?

In terms of payment, there is a clear winner here and that is Lyft.  But let’s analyze the situation:

First thing you need to know is that the average Lyft drivers earns more than Uber drivers, this is around $18 per hour compared to $16. Also, the average Lyft driver reports to be happier and more satisfied about their job than Uber drivers.

So far it seems like Lyft is the best option, but is it?

Uber reaches more people than Lyft, this is because they are available in more cities but also because more people sign up for their platform compared to Lyft. What this means for you is that working for Uber you will have more working – and income- opportunities.

Who pays better FedEx or Ups?

Today UPS and FedEx are two of the most popular air and ground delivery companies out there so it makes sense why you would like to work for any of them. Although they are very similar in terms of the tasks you will need to perform or the company’s culture, there are some interesting differences when it comes to compensation.

UPS drivers make around $21 per hour while FedEx drivers earn a bit less (around $19 hourly).

UPS employees also have access to health insurance, life insurance, 2 weeks vacations and family leaves while FedEx benefits are mainly linked to airlines and hotels discounts as well as deals with Verizon or AT&T.
