How to Cancel an Order on DoorDash Mobile App
Step 1: Once you have opened the DoorDash on your App, you need to select the order that you placed from the Orders tab section.
Step 2: On the top right corner, you have to click on or select the “Help” button.
Step 3: Once you tap that button, you would have various options to choose from. You can either go to the Help Section or Menu where you would have to select the “Cancel Order” option. Or you can tap on the “Cancel Order” button under the Order Details tab.
Step 4: Now you just have to follow the steps mentioned on the screen.

Canceling DoorDash order for Desktop Users
Step 1: On your desktop computer/laptop, once you have the DoorDash official site in front of you, you have to click on the three lines. These would be on the top left corner of your screen.
Step 2: Choose the Order button and select the order that you want to cancel.
Step 3: By clicking on the “Help” button found on the right-hand side of your computer screen, you will come across another option.
Step 4: Choose the “Cancel Order” option
Step 5: Now you just have to follow the steps mentioned on the screen.
You can cancel your order any time before it gets delivered. But there are things that you need to keep in mind. If your order has not been confirmed by the restaurant, you get a full refund.
If your order is not confirmed but the DoorDash delivery driver has been appointed or if your order is confirmed but a Dasher has not been appointed, you get a partial refund.
In the case both, Dasher has been appointed and the restaurant has confirmed the order, there would be no refund.
How to Cancel DoorDash Delivery Driver?
Changed your mind? Do not fret. Because DoorDash gives its customers the option to cancel their order! You can cancel your order through your DoorDash App or even through DoorDash’s official site.
How to delete an order from DoorDash?
If you want to delete an order from DoorDash, you would have to cancel the order. That can be done by following the “how to cancel an order from DoorDash?”
You can, however, delete an item from your DoorDash order. And this is how.
- Step 1: On the side of the item, you would see an Edit Modifiers and Setting button. Click it to remove the item
- Step 2: On the right side of the screen, click the Delete item button.
- Step 3: In the next section, you have tap on the delete button to permanently remove the item.
And that is it! Now the item has been removed.

How to get money back from DoorDash order?
If you have cancelled the order from DoorDash, you would only get your money back depending on the progress of the order. If the Dasher has picked up your order then you get no refund.
You would need to issue a report for a refund, wait for the refund processed, and then you would receive the refund.
You would receive the refund depending on how long it takes for the refund to be processed. The order may state “Pending” which would take two to three days.
- The charge would disappear, if there are no refunds
- If you have a partial refund, the added amount will be added into the statement
- If the statement does not have the “Pending” charge, then the amount has been posted to your account and will take 3-5 business days to refund

- Step 1: Open your DoorDash app and tap on the Orders button
- Step 2: Tap on Order history
- Step 3: You would view the receipt, the refund date, and the amount.
Check refund on the website
- Step 1: Open your account on the DoorDash official site and click on the three horizontal lines on the left corner of the screen.
- Step 2: Tap on the Order tab and click on Order History
- Step 3: Click on the restaurant from where you want to refund the order
- You can now view the receipt, the refund issue date, and the refund amount.
