How Does Publix Delivery Work?

You can order online from Publix and use curbside pickup to get your stuff delivered. You can also order online and get Instacart to deliver.

Publix has teamed up with Instacart to offer grocery delivery. Users can create an account on Instacart and access it on the website or app. You can shop for your order by clicking on a Publix location near you on the Instacart app.

How Does Publix Instacart Delivery Work?

Publix Instacart delivery is very easy and convenient. Customers have to log in to their Instacart account via the website or app. They can use the Instacart service to shop for various products at their local Publix store.

When an order is confirmed, Publix appoints a shopper that collects and assembles all the items in one place safely. After that, the order is delivered to your place. Customers can track the process of their order on the Instacart app. You can also opt for contactless delivery by selecting the “Leave at my door” option.

How to Order Publix Delivery

Ordering Publix delivery with Instacart is a simple process. All you have to do is go to Instacart.com and log in. If you don’t have an account with Instacart, we advise you to open an account with them, the easiest way to do that is to using your Facebook account or Google account to login. Click either ‘Continue with Facebook’ or ‘Continue with Google’ to sign up.

You can also do the Publix Instacart delivery from your Publix account. Click on ‘Delivery and Curbside Pickup’ from the top menu in your Publix account and Click on ‘Proceed to Instacart’.

Start logging in by entering your email address or zip code and click ‘Start Shopping’:

Step 1: Add your zip code and delivery address. and search for ‘Publix’ from the search bar of your Instacart account. If you reside in an area where Publix delivers using instacart, ‘Publix’ along with popular products will appear on the search result page. Select ‘Publix’ if available.

Step 2: Search for the products you’re looking for. Add the products in your shopping cart by clicking on ‘+Add’.

Step 3: Once you’re done adding the products into the cart, click on ‘Cart’ on top right section of the page to see the products you’ve added in cart and checkout.

Step 4: Once in cart, you can add product quantity or delete items from shopping cart. Check out the illustration below. Once you’re done, proceed to checkout page by clicking ‘Go to Checkout’.

Step 5: Add or edit your delivery address. Either go with the delivery time set by Instacart of you can schedule a delivery time. You can add promo code or gift cards as well if you have any. Click ‘Continue’ and you’ll be asked for delivery instructions (if any), mobile phone number and payment method (if you haven’t added already). Then proceed with the payment.

Publix Instacart Pickup

You can also select Publix pickup from from the same page. This is especially useful if you’re passing by the store and you think it’s faster to pickup the order yourself. When a customer confirms their order, Instacart links them with a buyer who does the shopping for them. Additionally, Instacart has the option of contactless delivery if you’re interested in that. Click on the “Leave at my door” option when wanting contactless.

The order’s progress and status can be monitored using the Instacart app or website. Moreover, buyers can contact the shopper to keep them updated about every step.

Is Instacart and Publix the same thing?

Nope! Publix and Instacart aren’t the same thing. Publix is a super store from where you can buy produce and Instacart is a delivery service using which you can get the products or groceries delivered at your home.

Are Publix prices higher on Instacart?

Yes! Since Instacart is a separate business that takes care of the delivery side, if you order Publix produce from Instacart online, it will typically cost you 10 – 20% more than for the physical store.

Do you tip Publix Curbside Delivery?

Tipping is not mandetory but encouraged. Since you are going to have to use Instacart for the curbside pickup, Publix associates won’t be receiving the tip, it’s the Instacart shopper that’s going to receive the tip.

How much do you tip Publix delivery?

A minimum suggested tip is $2 per individual store delivery. It is encouraged to tip 5% or any amount you feel comfortable of. If you tip using Instacart (since you’re going to have to use Instacart for the delivery), 100% of your tip goes to Instacart shopper. Publix associates don’t get the tip.
