What can get you fired at Walmart?

Walmart employees receive points for calling off on shifts. Point amounts vary depending on if you have a doctor’s note.

Can you go back to Walmart if you quit?

Yes, you can work at Walmart again after quitting. There is no guarantee that you will be able to get your job back, but it is possible to reapply and attempt going back.

To be rehired, Walmart will take into account previous work history as well as the cost of hiring someone new. Some Walmart employees leave with ratings that qualify them as rehireable.

What to do if a customer complains about you?

How many absences are allowed at Walmart?

As of 2019, Walmart began allowing employees to miss 5 scheduled shifts within 6 months. The 6 months are on a rolling basis, so at any given time you cannot have more than 5 missed shifts.

Walmart’s attendance policy is based on a point system. Missed shifts have different point values assigned, depending on if you have a doctor’s note.

How many times can you call out at Walmart?

While Walmart used to allow 9 absences within a 6 month period, they changed that to 5 in 2019. Employees cannot callout more than 5 times.

Walmart assesses attendance on a rolling 6 month time period, That means that within the last 6 months, you cannot have more than 5 callouts. There is never a time when you reset back to zero, they simply drop off after 6 months.

Is Walmart getting rid of customer service managers?

Walmart has recently made changes to its management structure within stores. They have cut management roles, including customer service managers, in an attempt to cut labor costs.

Management positions that remain have changed shape in both responsibility and pay. The role titles and duties have changed as well.
