Where can You Find Tahini in the Grocery Store?

Going grocery shopping seems fun to most people because of how one can find practically anything at a grocery store.

The aisles are neatly arranged with products of similar types and categories makes it all the fun when going grocery shopping and includes assured convenience when finding the right items in the right place.

Since grocery stores are such gigantic places for shopping, each aisle must hold various categories of products.

For instance, an aisle for cleanings could include detergent from various companies lined neatly with detergent pods, detergent powder, dishwasher soap, sponges, bleach, softener and other products used in washing clothes or even things like toothbrushes, toothpaste, mouthwash, floss et cetera.

Although these products are not used for washing clothes or dishes, they are used with water, giving them a common ground.

Similarly, frozen foods such as frozen fruits or vegetables, meat and ice cream would be found in the frozen food aisle.

Since Hummus is being consumed so popularly throughout global cuisines, tahini paste made by using Hummus and a few other ingredients is becoming popular across supermarkets by various brands.

Where can You Find Tahini in the Grocery Store?

Since the product is Mediterranean, it becomes confusing when going to the grocery store and finding it.

However, most grocery stores store their tahini in the ethnic foods aisle, where various spices and masala are commonly found and pastes, sauces and chutneys.

You can also find tahini in the condiment’s aisle or near the sauces. Since it is so readily used in recipes today, you can find tahini near Hummus or nut butter.

How is Tahini Sold?

The tahini itself is sold in jars, pouches and plastic containers. Most tahini is imported from countries that use it as their forte in meals and have been part of their cuisines since they invented it.

But it is also locally made through leading brands such as Trader Joe‘s. You can find tahini at your local Walmart, Target, Publix, and Trader Joe’s.

If you find it difficult to locate this delectable food item at your local market, you can even order it off Amazon and enjoy it more or less. If even that’s a hassle, you can even make it at home.
