The pay structure for DoorDash is very simple!

Most orders from the customers of DoorDash guarantees about $0.95/mile
Add $2 extra in case it is required by the driver to place the order (in person, by default)
Both of the above conditions guarantee your pay
Subtract the tip provided by the customer from your guaranteed pay value
The driver gets the difference paid as the delivery fee – given the payment value is negative or below $1, pay $1

Accept Every Order

That’s right. If you’re new to DoorDash driving. Just dive right into it and start delivering orders.

Accept every order you get to familiarise yourself with the environment, your zone and how the system works.

As a new driver, accept every order you get to know your zone. This will make you familiarize yourself with the roads, traffics, etc.

Know where your area is!

Create your own zone. By accepting all your first 100 orders, you will get to know where many of the orders come from.

You can create that specific area that receives the most orders as your own zone with that information.

This zone will be the perfect spot for you to wait in as you standby for another order to come in.

Avoid texting customers!

Do not text the customer unless there is a problem. They have live updates from DoorDash, and it shows them when we arrive at the restaurant and when we arrive at their house.

Texting customers without any reason can be very disrespectful and annoying. You do not have to text or talk to them unless there is any problem.

If the customer feels annoyed, they may leave a bad rating, affecting your rating and the orders you get.

How to get multiple orders on DoorDash?

Avoid accepting late orders!

Don’t accept late orders, or the customers will leave a bad or negative review.

While this probably won’t affect your pay, it will affect your rating and to avoid that, you simply have to reject late offers. Better safe than sorry, right?

Keep your Wi-Fi off while dashing!

Turn your Wi-Fi OFF when dashing unless you know you want to use it. Suppose you leave it on and inadvertently pass a place with a hotspot that you’ve hooked up to before.

While you’re hovering around it with a super weak signal. It can cause you to “miss” orders from DoorDash.

For new drivers:

Don’t panic or get flustered if you get stacked orders. Many orders at once can make new drivers flustered and confused as to what to do with them.

But don’t let this get to you. DoorDash adds way more than enough time for you to accept and deliver three stacked orders, maybe even four at once.

Fill up on gas!!

Don’t forget to fill up on gas after the end of your last dash running low on gas. You don’t want to be running low on gas during your dash because there’s nothing worse than needing to pause mid-dash to fill up, wasting precious time that could be better spent making money.

If you run low on gas and your order gets late, you’d end up with a bad rating that could affect your future orders, so be careful.

Stay hydrated and eat on longer dashes. Yes, making money is essential. But you know what they say, health is money.
